Plastic injection molding is the foundation of everything we do here at DPI. Whether we’re making rugged, long-lasting parts for consumer products and sporting goods, or complex, tight-tolerance plastic components for the medical device industry, our facility houses everything you need for injection molding and related services.
Our 27 plastic injection molding machines are housed in a modern dust-controlled environment. They range in size from 28 to 500 tons, with capacities ranging up to 62 ounces per shot. These machines include standard horizontal molding machines as well as more specialized equipment used for multi-shot, vertical, and IMD (In-Mold Decoration).
Our Medical workstations provide injection molding in a Certified Class 7 clean environment for the manufacture of Medical Device Components.
Our 2-shot line-up consists of seven machines ranging from 77 tons to 220 tons, with shot sizes of 1 ounce to 10.5 ounces. We have rotary plattens as well as rotary stripper plate options for every machine.
Our Vertical machines range from 28 tons to 66 tons. Some machines have multi-station rotary platens for high production work.
Due to our company’s constant update policy, many of DPI’s plastic injection molding machines are less than 5 years old. These machines with their multi-stage injection units and advanced computer controls have very sophisticated molding capabilities. Most of the machines are equipped with integrated Hot-Runner controls, Valve gate controllers, dual hydraulic core pulls, air core pulls, and robotics so there is little that they can’t do.
No matter how new or advanced these machines may be, the team here at DPI has the technical experience to process commodity resins like styrene, engineering resins like glass-filled LCP, and everything in between. Thermoplastics are our business, so even if you don’t see what you need on the list below, don’t hesitate to ask us about your particular material! We stock over 200 varieties of materials on a daily basis.
Engineering Resins: PVC, acetal, ABS, ASA, polyethylene, polypropylene, PC
