Distinctive Plastics (DPI) is proud to recognize the achievements of In-Mold Decorating Association (IMDA) as a long-time supporter and member of the organization. IMDA celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, a milestone that was made possible thanks to the dedication and member support of the companies that started and led the IMDA to become the organization that it is today.
The In-Mold Decorating Association is an organization of professionals, manufacturers, material suppliers, molders, and printers, all dedicated to developing and improving in-mold decoration technologies and markets. The organization was founded twenty years ago by a group of leaders in the industry, and was initially incorporated by Ronald Schultz to create a repository of knowledge about in-mold labeling, but quickly grew into an association in its own right. Seven companies pioneered IMD technology, with Distinctive Plastics among them, and helped make the IMDA a major part of plastics manufacturing and molding. The president of DPI, Tim Curnett, also served as a board member of the IMDA until stepping back from leadership.
This past September, IMDA joined several other organizations at the Plastic Product Decorating Summit awards ceremony to celebrate the seven Charter Member companies for two decades of support and leadership in plastic manufacturing innovation.

IMDA also announced its new Hall of Honor, designed to recognize critical contributors to the growth of the organization, and to the innovation of in-mold decoration and labeling in the industry, naming the founder, Ronald Schultz, as the first inductee.
Distinctive Plastics is incredibly honored to be a supporter of the IMDA, and proud to share this milestone with all of its members. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for the organization.
